Former TV host, Wendy Williams speaks on being trapped in a conservatorship, The television icon called into the radio show ”Thebreakfastclub’‘ as she was not allowed to leave the New York facility where she has been placed following her court-ordered guardianship that has overseen her health and finances since 2022.

Williams, who was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia in 2023, denied being “cognitively impaired.”
“I am not cognitively impaired. But I feel like I am in prison,” Williams said as she explained how she is currently “trapped in conservatorship.” “Do I seem that way, god damn it?” she added.
Following her prolonged absence from television and media, fans first got a glimpse at her life after the diagnosis in the documentary that aired last year in February.
Williams continued to disclose her current living standards, saying, “I’m in this place where the people are in their 90s and their 80s and their 70s. There’s something wrong with these people here on this floor. This system is broken,” she continued, adding that the treatments she receives amount to emotional abu$e.
During Thursday’s interview on ”Thebreakfastclub”, Williams’ claims were backed by her niece Alex Finnie, who confirmed that the facility has tight security. Finnie revealed that since William’s guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, possesses her previous phone, Williams is unable to make or receive calls.
Finnie said Williams is being punished in the facility ”Treat the woman with dignity, give her the respect she deserves.”
Williams broke down in tears while saying that her entire family is in Maimi, because her father is turning 94 and she needs to see and wish him a happy birthday, because when one gets to that age, the next day is not promised, ”my life is fuck3d up” She cried.
