Flavour Biography, Background, and Net Worth

Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli professionally known as Flavour N’abania or Flavour was born on November 23rd, 1983, in Enugu State, Nigeria. Born in Enugu but hails from Umunze in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Flavour started his musical career at the age of 13 when he started playing the drums for his church choir in Enugu. When he was 13, the resident pastor introduced him to Chris I. Ordor the CEO of SoundCity Communications. This led to an educational scholarship in 1996 and he started studying music professionally. For the next 3years he was a church drummer and a professional musician.

Musical Career

Flavour’s professional music career started with his debut album “N’abania” in 2005 which was a regional buzz. But it was his second album “Uplifted” in 2010 that made him a national and international figure. The album had hits like “Nwa Baby (Ashawo Remix)” “Adamma” and “Oyi Remix” which made him one of the most sought after artist in Africa.

Flavour is known for singing fluently in Igbo and his music blends traditional African rhythm with contemporary sound to create Afrobeat and highlife. He has released many albums and collaborated with many artistes within and outside Nigeria.

Flavour is a father of three daughters and an adopted son. He keeps his personal life private. His impact on Nigerian music is huge, his highlife and contemporary sound resonate with a wide range of audience. Flavour is dedicated to his craft, and he has been able to infuse traditional sound with modern beat and that has made him a key player in African music.
