Early Life and Background
She grew up in Ibadan, Oyo State where she completed her primary and secondary education. Toyin’s journey into acting started in 2003 when she followed a friend to a movie set. There she met the legendary actress Bukky Wright who saw her potential and offered her a role in the movie. That was the beginning of her career in Nollywood.
Career
Toyin has played in many Yoruba and English-language movies. Some of her movies are Alani Baba Labake, Ebimi ni, and Ijakumo: The Born Again Stripper. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Yoruba Movie at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards. Toyin has also ventured into film production and direction and has contributed greatly to the Nigerian movie industry. In 2013 she got married to actor Adeniyi Johnson but the union ended in 2015. She later found love with actor Kolawole Ajeyemi and they welcomed their first child together in August 2019. In 2016 she changed her name from Aimakhu to Abraham a decision made by her family. Toyin is also known for her philanthropic work and has been involved in many charitable activities to give back to society and help the needy.
