Tony Umez’s Daughter, Tonia Chinelo, Crowned Miss NYSC Adamawa
Nollywood icon Tony Umez is beaming with pride as his daughter Tonia Chinelo Umez has been crowned Miss NYSC Adamawa for Batch C Stream 2. He shared his joy on social media expressing his family’s pride in her.

Tonia, a Mass Communication graduate of the University of Benin, bagged Second Class Upper. During her time in the university, she was Miss MASCA for the 2022/23 session and was first runner-up in Face of Ekehuan Campus in the same year. He lovingly referred to her as “Omalicha’m,” an Igbo term meaning “my beautiful one,” because she’s beautiful and intelligent.
Tony Umez is proud of his daughter and he believes she has more potential in her and can be more successful. He went further to hint that she might become Miss Universe one day. The Umez family is a close-knit family, and they have every reason to rejoice with Tonia.
This is not the first time the Umez family will be celebrating such a feat. In 2018 Tony’s second daughter Princess Chiamaka Umez won the Catholic Youth Organisation of Nigeria (CYON) pageant. The Umez family has a tradition of excellence.
Tony Umez has always been supportive of his children’s endeavors, he celebrates them and shares their achievements with the world. His pride in Tonia’s accomplishments shows he is always there for her and they have strong family values.
