Jim Iyke was born September 25th, 1976 in Libreville, Gabon while his parents come from Ogwugwu Village in Enugwu-Agidi town of Anambra State, Nigeria.

Jim Iyke is the only son in a family of eight children. He attended Federal Government College, Kwali, Abuja from 1985 to 1991. He then went to University of Jos, Plateau State for his higher education where he obtained a diploma in Banking and Finance and later a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy.

Jim Iyke started acting in 1998 and has been one of the biggest in Nollywood since then. As of 2013 he had done over 150 movies making him one of the most prolific actor in the industry. In 2007 he founded Untamed Productions a movie production company and ventured into music with his own record label Untamed Records. His debut album “Who Am I?” featured collaborations with top Nigerian artistes like TuFace Idibia and Sound Sultan.

Jim Iyke has been in the public eye for his relationships and lifestyle. In April 2019 he announced the birth of his son Harvis Chidubem Iyke. He is married to Dana Kinduryte and they have a son.
