Anglican communion calls for fervent prayers following the disappearance of the former Archbishop and Retired Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, The Most Revd Prof. G.I.N. Okpala, along with his driver, Mr. Ekene. Reports have it that the retired Bishop of Nnewi Diocese left for a burial service at Umuchu on Thursday, December 5, 2024, and there has been no trace of him ever since. This raised concern among Christians. The sad situation got many worried as the retired Bishop is certainly loved and respected by many. Many have described The Most Revd Prof. Okpala as a man of integrity, wisdom, and unwavering faith, whose life and ministry have impacted countless individuals. Following the development, the Bishop of Amichi Diocese, Rt. Rev. Ephraim Ikeakor has emphasized the need for fervent prayers for the return of the Retired Bishop. He asks for divine intervention and urged Christian to join hands and pray ceaselessly for the duo to come back safely.
