The All Progressives Congress (APC) has launched attacks on Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, accusing him of failing to achieve significant milestones during his eight-year tenure as Governor of Anambra State.

In a statement released on Thursday, APC spokesperson Felix Morka criticized Obi for what the party described as his “obsessive pessimism” and lack of constructive contributions to national discourse.
The APC’s remarks come in response to Obi’s continuous critique of the Bola Tinubu administration.
Morka argued that Obi’s recent statements reflect a pattern of negativity and a futile attempt to undermine public confidence in Tinubu’s government, which he claimed is focused on transformative reforms across various sectors.
The party described Obi’s leadership in Anambra as lackluster, asserting that his time in office was devoid of significant achievements or transformative policies.
“It is ironic that Peter Obi, who now positions himself as a visionary and problem-solver for national challenges, left no remarkable legacy during his governorship,” Morka said.
The APC also emphasized that Nigerians are optimistic about 2025 under Tinubu’s leadership, contrasting this with Obi’s alleged “gloom-ridden” outlook for the country.
According to Morka, Tinubu’s administration is addressing critical challenges and laying the groundwork for sustainable growth, which will ultimately solidify the irrelevance of opposition voices like Peter Obi.
