This reconciliation follows a public controversy from Odunsi, who had previously accused his son of neglecting him amid his health struggles.
In an emotional statement, Mr. Odunsi revealed that he had been upset with Asake due to his perceived abandonment since his health began deteriorating in 2022.
Speaking in Yoruba, he expressed his anger, particularly mentioning that Asake’s mother should ask him when he last visited his father.
The situation seemed to have reached a breaking point, but, in a positive way, father and son have now reconciled, putting their differences behind them.
Asake’s gesture of reconciliation goes beyond words. He has promised to buy his father a new house and take full responsibility for his medical expenses.
According to Odunsi, the issues between them have been resolved, with Asake ensuring that his father’s needs are met.
Odunsi confirmed that his son is actively looking for a new home to buy for him, a significant act of kindness that symbolizes the healing of their strained relationship.
He further revealed that “Asake said he will do everything that I want. We have settled, no more problems.”
“We are no longer fighting.” he added.
“They are now looking for a new house that he will buy for me. He has settled everything.”
Furthermore, Asake has also taken on the responsibility of caring for his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat. While Asake has never denied his daughter, he has now made a formal commitment to take full responsibility for her well-being.
