Sowore blasts Buhari on his 82nd birthday, says he’s not worthy of honor
Nigerian human rights activist Omoleye Sowore blasts former Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari amidst his 82nd birthday anniversary.
Sowore, who has been an active critic of bad governance, took to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle to accuse Buhari of being a “Barawo, a native word used by people of Northern origin to describe a thief.
General Muhammadu Buhari, whose 82nd birthday anniversary is today, was born on December 17, 1942. Mr. Sowore, in his words, reads: “A man that destroyed his country do not deserve any honor, accolades or happiness.” “Baba Munafikin Banza, Baba Barawo Banza.”
Recall that General Buhari took over from President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on May 29, 2015, as president-elect.
However amidst the celebration, the founder of “Sahara reporters” using such words on the former president triggered reactions from Nigerians on social media.
@Opara – “Sowore is right; Buhari really shows us shege in this country but now is Tpain.”
@Jimmy – “God punish the useless 82 years old man.”
@Olamide- “Stop being derogatory Mr. Man, Buhari is not your mate.”
@Ebube- “I’m missing Buhari oo.”
