South African Politician Norah Mahlangu takes leave after her nud3 video got leaked
South African Politician and the mayor of Tswaing Local Municipality in Northwest, Norah Mahlangu has taken a one-month leave after a nud3 video of her was leaked on a WhatsApp group belonging to her party’s provincial structure.

The video, which shows Mahlangu undressing and later engaging in s3xual acts went viral and circulated among members of the African National Congress (ANC) in the province.
Following the leak, Mahlangu reportedly fell into depression due to embarrassment and public scrutiny. She has since taken a leave of absence from work.
It was reported that she last appeared in public at the funeral of two municipal workers who di3d while trying to unblock a drainage system in Agisanang township.
At the funeral, she called for an investigation into their d3aths.
Tswaing Speaker Sam Letlakane confirmed that Mahlangu was highly traumatized by the incident and needed time away from work.
It was rumoured by some people that the video was leaked through her s3xual partner to whom she sent it, others say it was sent by a blackmailer who attempted to extort money from her after she refused.
The video was allegedly shared with political rivals to damage her reputation ahead of the next local government elections.
