Popular media personality, Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has stirred controversy by claiming that miracles in Nigerian Pentecostal churches are choreographed and lack authenticity.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Outside The Box podcast, Daddy Freeze expressed strong doubts about the credibility of miracles performed in Nigerian churches.
He insisted that unlike the verifiable miracles recorded in the Bible, no Nigerian cleric has been able to perform similar acts on a well-known public figure.
“I’m sorry but I don’t believe in any of the miracles in any Pentecostal church. I don’t have a problem with the pastors, but I don’t believe their miracles,” he stated.
He further argued that biblical miracles were witnessed by many and involved notable individuals, making them credible.
He referenced Jesus healing a man with a withered hand, raising Lazarus from the d£ad, and restoring sight to blind Bartimaeus. According to him, these were undeniable acts that everyone at the time could verify.
Daddy Freeze challenged Nigerian pastors by citing real-life cases where prominent figures suffered illnesses and, despite prayers from religious leaders, were not healed.
He mentioned the late former NAFDAC director Dora Akunyili, who battled cancer, and veteran actor John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), who underwent amputation before passing away.
“Dora Akunyili was dying of cancer, every Nigerian G.O prayed for her, they couldn’t heal her. Mr. Ibu was deteriorating to the point they had to amputate him, and nobody could heal him. And then he died, and nobody could raise him.”
He concluded by demanding proof of miracles, stating, “Don’t tell me you did miracles. I want proofs.”
Daddy Freeze, known for his outspoken criticism of Nigerian church practices, has once again sparked debate, with his remarks drawing mixed reactions from the public.
While some agree with his views, others believe miracles are a matter of faith and cannot always be proven scientifically.
