Mohbad’s Wife Begs Father-in-law to Bury Singer

MohBad’s wife, Wunmi, has begged her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, to start the burial process. This comes after MohBad’s body was exhumed for forensic examination to know the cause of his death.

After MohBad’s sudden death on September 12, 2023, at 27, controversies have surrounded his death. Lagos State Police Command started an investigation which included exhuming his body on September 21, 2023 for autopsy. Autopsy was done on the same day and his remains have been in the mortuary since then.

Wunmi is worried about the delay in burying her husband, saying it’s taking a toll on her and their little child. She has called on her father-in-law to hurry up the burial, saying the more they delay, the more they suffer.

In her appeal, Wunmi said the DNA test that her father-in-law has been demanding for is yet to be done. She’s frustrated that the delay is giving room for people to talk and speculate about MohBad’s death.

She also alleged that some people on social media are profiting from the situation and turning her husband’s death into a business. These people, she claimed, have built platforms by spreading lies and character assassination against her and her child. Wunmi also accused her father-in-law of being part of this, saying he’s receiving money from these online activities.

MohBad’s death has been shrouded in controversy. Before his death, he accused his former record label, Marlian Music and its boss, Naira Marley of physical assault and unpaid royalties. He had also filed a police report in June 2023 accusing music promoter Samson “Sam Larry” Balogun, a known associate of Naira Marley, of assault.

These allegations generated public outcry and demands for justice, which is why the investigation is ongoing. Meanwhile, Wunmi’s appeal is for the family to move on and bury MohBad properly.
