Indian Billionaire leaves a chunk of his fortune to his Dog. As we all know the adage that says, “A Dog is a man’s best friend.” Mr Ratan Tata took it seriously. Mr Ratan Tata died sometime this month, at the age of 86 years.

As it is in India, the unmarried businessman without children would have left his estate, valued at about 91million pounds, to his relations but he overlooked his brother, Jimmy Tata, and half-sisters Shireen and Deanna Jejeebhoy in favor of his German Shepherd Dog, Tito.

Mr Tata allegedly stated in his will, that his pooch, his butler and general assistant, Konar Subbiah, and his cook, Rajan Shaw, should each receive a large portion of his fortune. his siblings will only inherit part of his estate.

The Billionaire stated in his will, that provisions should be put in place to provide care for his pet Dog who was his best friend.

According to Suhel Seth, a close friend to Mr Tata, the amount which was left for his domestic staff the former cook and butler, who will also be taking care of Tito is very generous.  he also added that the content of the will was no surprise to those who knew the billionaire. because the Dog and the closest staff really made, him happy.

During his tenure as chairman of the Tata group, the conglomerate made several high-profile acquisitions, the group purchased British tea firm Tetley in 2000 for $432 million and Anglo-Dutch steelmaker Corus in2007 for $13 billion.
