“Simon Ekpa thr3atened me for not supporting Biafra” – Orji Uzor Kalu
The lawmaker representing Abia North Senatorial District, Orji Uzor Kalu, has stated that the self-proclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Simon Ekpa thr3atened him for not supporting Biafra.
Kalu stated this during an interview with Arise Television on Monday, December 2, saying he ignored thr3ats from Ekpa for not supporting ag!tation for Biafra.
“Simon Ekpa was calling and thr3atening me that I don’t support Biafra, but I left him to his conscience.
“I am very strong-willed when it comes to security, and I can do anything to safeguard the lives and property of the people I rule.
“You must be a strong leader to condemn cr!me, and I eradicated cr!me. No governor should tolerate any type of cr!me in his state; it is not allowed,” he said.
Kalu, however, urged the south-east governors to be determined when dealing with non-state actors.
Recall that On November 21, the police in Finland arrested Simon Ekpa, a well-known pro-Biafra ag!tator.
He was subsequently sent to prison by the district court of Päijät-Häme for spreading terr0rist propaganda on social media.
A Finnish district court has fixed May 2025 for the prosecution to file charges against him.
