Good news to Americans as Trump vows to impose taxes and tariffs on foreign countries to enrich US citizens

As the 47th president of the United States of America, Donald Trump has reaffirmed one of his most significant campaign promises: a dramatic shift in U.S. trade policy.

At the U.S. Capitol, Trump committed to overhauling the country’s trade system with an aggressive approach aimed at bolstering the American economy and enriching American workers.

“I will immediately begin the overhaul of our trade system to protect American workers and families,” Trump declared, signaling a tough stance against foreign trade practices.

Central to his plan is the imposition of new taxes and tariffs on foreign goods, a strategy he believes will reverse decades of trade imbalances and generate financial benefits for U.S. citizens.

Trump’s promise is clear: Rather than taxing American citizens to support foreign economies, the President vowed to levy taxes and tariffs on foreign countries to increase revenue for the U.S.

In particular, he targeted key trade partners, including Canada, Mexico, and China, for what he described as their unfair trade practices and failure to address issues like illegal immigration and the flow of fentanyl into the United States.

One of Trump’s boldest proposals was a 25 percent tariff on imports from Canada and Mexico, alongside a 10 percent tariff on Chinese goods, unless those countries take more aggressive action on the issues he raised.

In his most ambitious proposal, Trump suggested a tariff of 60 percent or more on Chinese imports, a move that would fundamentally reshape the U.S.-China trade relationship.

The White House has also indicated that under Trump’s leadership, all federal agencies will adopt “emergency measures” designed to reduce the cost of living for Americans.

This could include initiatives aimed at reducing reliance on foreign goods, encouraging domestic production, and enhancing the purchasing power of U.S. consumers.

In addition to these tariffs, Trump unveiled his “America First Trade Policy,” an approach that seeks to prioritize U.S. economic interests above international agreements and foreign commitments.

Under this new policy, Washington will no longer be beholden to foreign organizations when it comes to tax policy, a shift aimed at reclaiming control over U.S. economic affairs.

President Trump also introduced plans to create an “External Revenue Service” to enforce these new tariffs and ensure that revenues flow back into the U.S. Treasury.
