Recall that the actress showed concern over the safety of her friend, who lives in LA, as the news of the wildfires spread.

In a new post, she stated that while she appreciated the public’s outpour of love and support, she would like to reiterate that he did not leave LA because of the fires, as she has been in Nigeria.

“To clarify and set the record straight, my family and I are safe. However, I’ve seen reports suggesting I had to leave the United States because of the fires.

This is inaccurate. I have been in Nigeria since December 2024, and I am still here presently. While I deeply cherish my connection to Los Angeles, these fires were not the reason for my travel. I kindly urge media outlets and individuals to correct this misinformation.”

Despite being far from Los Angeles, Omotola expressed her continued connection to the city, which she considers a second home.

As the fires continue to wreak havoc, Omotola extended her thoughts and prayers to all those affected, from first responders to families who have lost their homes.

In conclusion, Omotola Jalade called for unity and support during the crisis. She said this moment is a reminder of how interconnected we all are, regardless of where we stand in the world. It is a call to unity, resilience, and empathy.

She invites everyone, regardless of where you may be, to join in praying for Los Angeles and in supporting organizations on the ground making a difference.
