Yul Edochie – “Politicians should start swearing before deities”

The popular screen sensation of Nollywood and media sensation Yul Edochie has again shared his conviction on what he thinks is the root cause of protracted corruption in the Nigerian body polity.
Because of his affiliation to the African traditional religion as against Western religions like Christianity, Islam and related religions.
He believes the western religions are powerless while the traditional deities and shrines are more powerful and efficacious.
This position is what he has shared to his fans and followers,
“I’ve said before & I’m saying it again, if we want to end corruption in Nigeria, let every public office holder swear their oath of office before the deity in their village or any other powerful deity. Nobody go get liver thief one naira in Nigeria. Our traditional ways are powerful. But we allowed Oyibo people to brainwash us and made us abandon our ways and our society went to pieces. We must return to the old ways.”
The reason for corruption is because people don’t fear the oath they take with bible and constitution. It’s better to take the oath in village traditional shrines since the power of the shrines will not allow politicians to steal public funds, Yul Edochie implied.
