Dunamis Senior Pastor, Dr. Becky Enenche was recently teaching on the subject of tithing.

In the video, strongly emphasizing the importance of tithe, the Dunamis Senior Pastor said “when you don’t tithe, you go back to square one in life”

However, social media influencer, Reno Omokri has countered the Dunamis Senior Pastor.

On his official Facebook page, Reno Omokri said: “You do not go back to square one because you do not pay your tithe. This woman and her husband and others like her have turned the faith that Yeshua (Jesus) gave us into a sc@m. They are Yah00 boys, girls, men and women on the altar.”

Their brand of Godliness as a means to financial gain, not as a way to grow in holiness and morals, has given Christianity in Nigeria an odious reputation.”

He also quoted a Bible verse to counter the woman’s assertion: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear”-1 John 4:18.

Addressing the Dunamis Senior Pastor, Reno said:  “anyone who uses fear of death, financial ruin or any negative circumstances to threaten and intimidate you into paying tithes is not doing the work of God in that limited instance. Fear is the opposite of faith. And without faith, it is IMPOSSIBLE to please God!

He further added that, “This woman’s husband was the main culprit of the politicisation of Christianity during the NigerianElections2023. He carried Peter Obi from church to church, where Obi told Christians, “church, take back your country”.

“But when Peter Obi insulted the church and blamed night vigils for the economic hardship in Nigeria, did Paul Enenche speak?

I have read Scripture in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Koine Greek languages.

The word “dev0urer” in the King James Version of Malachi 3:11 is an agricultural term. It is common in agriculture.

The dev0urer there just means an agricultural pest. It does not mean that God will k!Il you if you do not pay your tithes”.
