Bolanle Cole, a Nigerian Human Rights Lawyer and activist who doubles as a political commentator and CEO of a law firm in Nigeria has taken to X a bashing post against Wike.
Recall, Nyesom Wike the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, minister, has since recent times taken it upon himself to call out former politicians who are no longer in the front line corridors of political power like Dr Peter Odilli and Goodluck Jonathan. The calling out is animated because of their opposing perspectives in Wike’s developmental ideologies especially in his new political role as minister in the Tinubu-led government.
The human rights lawyer bumps at Wike,
“Wike washed car for Senator John Umbata to help him beg Dr Odili to become LGA chairman in 1999, he eventually became LGA chairman of Obio Akpor where he began his political career and journey, in 2013 Patience Jonathan took Wike to Dr Odili’s house to beg him and other political stakeholders in Rivers to support Wike gubernatorial ambition, they did and he became governor in 2015 and rule for eight years; so no amount of insults from Wike can rewrite that history. Dr Odili made Wike politically, in due course Wike would also insult President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu just as he is currently doing to Odili and former President Goodluck Jonathan.”
