JUST IN: Stanley Nwabali’s Father Passes on after Super Eagle AFCON 2025 Qualification

Nigeria Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s father passed away a few hours after his son helped the Super Eagles qualify for the AFCON 2025 with a 1-1 draw against Benin.

Stanley Nwabali took to his Instagram to share the passing on of his father, he wrote “RIP Dad” with a crying emoji to show how pained he was.

The Super Eagles teammate has also shown their condolences to him on social media.

Players like Captain William Troost-Ekong, Victor Boniface, and Wilfred Ndidi have all sent their condolences to Nwabali.

Oh, now I see why he conceded that poor goal, his mind must have been devastated. But he should have seated the match out. I pray God gives him and his family the strength to bear this huge loss. My condolences.
