“Werey Just Buy New Car”: Nigerians React to VDM’s Claim of Losing N180 Million NGO Funds to Hackers hours after He was Spotted Inside Luxurious Car
Vincent Otse, better known as Verydarkman (VDM), has captured widespread attention after being spotted inside a luxury car at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The video, shared by TikTok user @_carkid0, quickly went viral, sparking buzz among social media users about his newfound luxury ride.
In a follow-up video, VDM revealed that he was unaware he was being filmed at the time.
Addressing rumors surrounding the car’s cost, VDM denied acquiring a car worth N100 million, explaining that if he had such a sum, he would prioritize investing in a home for himself or his mother.
Few hours later, he made a new post about losing a huge sum of money to hackers.
Meanwhile Nigerian social media users have massively reacted to his video announcing that N180 million has gone missing from his account. In the video, VDM claimed that his NGO account got hacked through the website and that he was going to Jos with a police officer as they had tracked one of the hackers.
The audacious activist also stated that they had made progress by arresting one of the perpetrators and assured the public that he would investigate the matter. In reaction to the new development, Nigerians online shared their reservations concerning the issue. While some have empathized with the situation, others have taken it as an opportunity to mock VDM for always coming online to brag about being transparent and not money-hungry.
