Speaking during an interactive session with South-East leaders in Enugu, Tinubu emphasized the importance of national integration, describing all Nigerians as members of “one huge family” living in a shared home.
“I don’t care which party you come from; you are my friend. Alex Otti of Abia State is doing very well. It’s not about differences in language or place of birth. We are all members of one huge family called Nigeria, living in different rooms of the same house,” Tinubu stated.
The remarks of the president aim to address a long-standing regional crisis while fostering national unity and inclusivity. He pledged to prioritize initiatives that meet both immediate and future developmental needs across the country.
In addition to his message of unity, Tinubu revealed several ambitious projects for the South-East, highlighting his administration’s commitment to equitable growth. Key plans include:
Eastern Rail Line Completion: Connecting Port Harcourt to Maiduguri to enhance regional trade and connectivity.
Anambra Basin Development: Unlocking the potential of an estimated 1 billion barrels of oil and 30 billion cubic feet of gas.
Investment in Gas Infrastructure: Expanding sustainable energy solutions for the region and beyond
The president expressed optimism about collaborating with Southeast governors to implement these initiatives, showing his vision for a prosperous Nigeria for all.
