VDM sends strong message to Afe Babalola
It’s on record that the publishing of “The Judiciary in Nigeria’s Criminal Justice” by the Nigerian human rights activist, Dele Farotimi sparked serious questioning and reactions to the Nigerian Judiciary.
Feeling insulted by the content of the book where he was alleged to have defamed Afe Babalola and his chambers, Dele Farotimi is detained on the orders of Afe Babalola
This led to arraigning Dele Farotimi to jail till 10 December trial.
In a viral video, the media sensation and human rights activist, Verydarkman, has slammed Afe Babalola.
“If this man at the age of 92 years based on my research is picking people up for defamation, then there’s a problem” said VDM
This means that when this man was like 40-50 years, he must be bad in taking people. He continued. This statement he made after his analysis of average life expectancy in Nigeria and the world and found out that Afe Babalola is far above life expectancy. This could imply he doesn’t have all the time to live yet he’s taking younger generations on the count of defamation.
“If you feel what Dele Farotimi wrote on the book is false, why pick him? File a civil suit against him and go to court and school him. Educate him after he’s not able to prove what he has written, he apologize to you before every Nigeria,”. VDM advises Afe Babalola.
He concluded saying that the solution for defamation is justification (truth) not detention.
