UNIZIK Lecturer speaks out after shocking TikTok video clash with student

A recent incident at Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) in Awka Anambra State, has sparked heavy discussion on social media platforms.

Recall that A female student reportedly attacked Dr. Chukwudi Michael, a lecturer in the Faculty of Arts, during a dispute over a TikTok video recording.

The altercation occurred when Dr. Michael attempted to pass by the student, who was recording a dance video in the faculty corridor.

As he tapped her on the shoulder to pass, the lady became upset, saying, “Can you imagine how he just hit me?” The situation quickly went the other direction with the student grabbing Dr. Michael’s clothes aggressively.

Eyewitnesses reported that the student bit the lecturer on both arms during the confrontation. Images circulating online show visible bite marks on Dr. Michael’s arms.

Amidst the controversy, Dr. Michael made a video earlier today revealing how the incident happened denouncing some false speculations spread across all social media platforms.

The lecturer revealed that the student involved is a 300-level Theater Art student and the daughter of a lecturer in the university’s Engineering Department.

Many public figures including The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) have condemned the student’s actions, emphasizing the importance of discipline and respect for authority within academic institutions.

NANS Senate President, Babatunde Akinteye, stated that such behavior is unacceptable and called for a thorough investigation into the incident.
