”Tinubu’s friends and Bankers are the people benefitting from the current administration”- Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour

The governorship candidate (Lagos State) of the Labour Party, LP, in the 2023 general election, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has opined that President Tinubu’s friends and Bankers are the people benefitting from the economic reforms of the current administration.

President Tinubu’s administration reforms include the removal of fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira, the country’s currency.

However, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour popularly known as GRV, says a majority of Nigerians are suffering while others feed fat.

While speaking on Channels Television yesterday, he said “The people are experiencing unprecedented h@rdship. Today, over 70 percent of people’s income is spent on transportation and food,

They’ve not even started to think about how they can afford accommodation.

We have a situation where there is a culture of wastefulness, and extravagance that does not reflect the dire economic situation that the same President is pushing out that needs to be reformed.

Reformation should be to the advantage of the people. The only people who seem to be benefitting from these reforms are maybe the bankers, the people in government, and the President’s friends.

How many Nigerians can say they are benefitting from any reform right now?” He queried.

He added that the political elite should also feel the p@in of the people, and the economic situation should reflect on the quality of life of the elites. Why do they need to buy more cars for the government? The president already has any car he wants.

Our national gride keeps collapsing like it is epileptic, our currency has lost 40% of its value. There are far more important things to do with money.

He concluded by saying that the heat of the reformation should be felt by everyone. That is the true definition of leadership.
