“The FG Is Not Serious with Anything” – Daniel Regha Condemns Plan to Study Egypt Power Sector
Nigerian social media critic Daniel Regha has again set the internet ablaze, this time questioning the Nigerian government’s move to send officials to Egypt to study its electricity system. Regha, known for his candid views, also took a swipe at the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, for making a similar trip before the elections.

Peter Obi just embarked on a 3 day trip to Egypt to basically learn about the country’s system, including how to generate electricity; Why didn’t Obi embark on the trip before the elections or campaign season? he asked. He noted that Nigeria’s electricity problem didn’t start today and Obi was part of the government that failed to fix it.
Regha reminded folks that Nigeria’s electricity problem didn’t start today & he also worked closely with Jonathan during the PDP administration and the poor electricity issue persisted back then. He wasn’t done with Obi alone, he also condemned the federal government’s recent efforts to tackle power generation issues saying the FG has never been serious with fixing the country’s long standing electricity problems. Now it’s no news the FG isn’t serious with anything, has never been, but let’s stop the blind applause.
Many Nigerians reacted to Regha’s comments on social media. Some agreed with him while others defended Obi and attacked the government instead.
