Following Nigerian female Afrobeat singer Tems winning her second Grammy award, a lady has sparked serious debate online with her claim.

A lady named Fiona claim it’s high time Tems is included in a conversation about the top 3 Afrobeats artists.

“It’s time we start including Tems in conversations surrounding the Big 3 when it comes to African musicians like Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido,” she said.
Fiona, who also acknowledged the contribution of WizKid, Burna Boy, and Davido to Afrobeats, insists that despite the rise of other artists like Rema and Asake, Tems should be placed at number 4.
She also pointed to the fact that because Tems was a woman, that’s more reason why people don’t include her in conversation related to the big 3 artists when it comes to Afrobeats.
As Tems is the only African artist with two Grammys, she deserves some accolade because she has also contributed in putting Afrobeats on a global level.
“Winning the Grammy is the highest musical validation; it’s safe to say Tems can now take a seat at the table with her male counterparts as part of the big 4,” she added.
