Speed Darlington Says Burna Boy Fabricated Lamborghini Scandal to Quell Sexuality Rumors

Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has weighed in on the ongoing Lamborghini drama between Grammy winner Burna Boy and socialite Sophia Egbueje. The drama started when a leaked audio surfaced where Sophia accused Burna Boy of not keeping his promise to get her a Lamborghini after an alleged romantic encounter.

In response to the unfolding drama, Speed Darlington said the whole thing was cooked up by Burna Boy to kill the sexuality rumors. In a video on his Instagram story, Speed Darlington alleged that Burna Boy paid Sophia to pretend to be in a romantic relationship with women.

Speed Darlington and Burna Boy have had a beef for a while. Previously he said Burna Boy’s success, especially his Grammy win for the album “Twice As Tall” was influenced by his relationship with American rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Speed Darlington questioned Burna Boy’s achievements, saying his rise to international recognition wasn’t just because of his talent.

Things got intense between the two when Speed Darlington was arrested for defamation and cyberstalking after a complaint believed to have been filed by Burna Boy. Speed Darlington’s lawyers said Burna Boy influenced the authorities to detain him illegally. After spending several weeks in the cell, Speed Darlington was granted bail by the Federal High Court.

In the midst of all these, Burna Boy has addressed Sophia Egbueje’s claims. In a recent video on his Instagram story, Burna Boy responded to Sophia’s accusations with a big yawn, wondering how the whole Lamborghini thing became a big deal.

The drama has also affected Burna Boy’s personal life. American singer and actress Chloe Bailey who was linked to Burna Boy unfollowed him on Instagram during the Lamborghini saga which has sparked rumors about the state of their relationship.
