Nigerian street singer Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi, popularly known as Seyi Vibez, parted ways with the popular music label Dapper Music and Entertainment a few months ago.
According to him, his reason for ending things with Dapper was mainly because of their alleged exploitation of royalties.
He stated how Dapper has mismanaged his royalties without a credible account of his royalties since he signed with them in 2022.
One interesting thing about the termination agreement that has gotten Netizens reacting was that Seyi Vibez is not permitted to release a song in the next 13 months.

Gracey Mae, in a recent podcast with @afrobeatpodcast, shared more light on Seyi Vibez’s agreement with Dapper Music before the deal between both parties was terminated.
“A lot of people don’t know that Seyi Vibez’s agreement with Dapper is that he is not going to release music for the next 13 months,” she said.
She also explained how it was going to be a problem for him not to release a song for over a year; her fear was that he might be forgotten by his fans or get replaced by another artist.
“He is possibly going to be financially lost, and the process of him making more money in the music industry is going to be ruined,” she added.
The information about the agreement between Seyi Vibez and Dapper Music has raised many concerns from his fans because he is not going to release any music for now.
