Samklef debunks rumors of Davido receiving $10 million to perform at a royal wedding in India
Nigerian social media activist and music producer, Samklef Noni, has disclaimed recent news that superstar singer David Adeleke popularly known as Davido was paid a staggering $10 million to perform at an Indian wedding.
The music producer took to his official X (formally Twitter) handle, to dismiss the reports as false, calling it a case of “overhyping” and criticizing the entertainment industry for promoting what he described as lies.
The remarks came after reports circulated online that Davido had been paid between $3 million and $10 million to perform at a high-profile wedding in India.
According to Samclef, the information was fabricated and questioned the authenticity of the source. “Nobody paid Davido $3 million or $10 million. They paid an Indian guy to post that sh*t,” Samklef wrote, adding laughing and poop emojis to emphasize his disbelief.
The music producer, however, further criticized what he described as the culture of exaggeration within the Nigerian entertainment industry. “Stop this overhyping! An industry built on lies will die by lies,”
