Ramsey Nouah fully known as Ramsey Tokunbo Nouah Jr. was born on December 19, 1970 in Lagos, Nigeria to an Israeli father and a Nigerian mother from Owo, Ondo State.

He was raised in Surulere, Lagos where he attended Atara Primary School and Community Grammar School for his primary and secondary education respectively. Nouah later pursued a diploma in Mass Communication at the University of Lagos which laid the foundation for his career in the entertainment industry.
Career
Nouah’s acting career started in the early 1990s when he starred as Jeff Akin-Thomas in the Nigerian TV soap opera “Fortunes”. Throughout the 1990s and early 2000s, Ramsey Nouah was known for his romantic roles and was nicknamed “Lover-Boy”. Some of his popular works from this period include “Silent Night” (1996), “Dangerous Twins” (2004), and “The Figurine” (2009) which earned him the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in 2010.
In 2015, Nouah acquired the rights to the classic Nigerian film “Living in Bondage” and made his directorial debut with the sequel “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free” in 2019. The film was a critical and commercial success winning 7 awards at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards. After this he directed “Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story” (2020) a remake of the 1995 classic further establishing his versatility and commitment to Nollywood.
Personal Life
Ramsey Nouah is married to Emelia Philips-Nouah and they have three children; two sons Quincy and Joshua and a daughter Desiree. Despite his public career, Nouah keeps his personal life private and away from the media.
