Police and Air Force personnel clash in Ilorin after policeman allegedly slap Airforce officer
Confusion in Ilorin, Kwara State, as Nigerian police officer allegedly sl@pped an Air Force officer over a dispute involving a tricycle. The incident took place along Ahmadu Bello Road, sparking tensions between the police and Air Force personnel.

Eyewitness told Celebritynote that the conflict began at the Yoruba Road Market when officials from the Kwara State Traffic Management Authority (KWATMA), accompanied by police officers, stopped a tricycle carrying the Air Force officer.
The officer, apparently in a hurry, pleaded with the traffic officers to allow the tricycle to continue, but his request was met with an unexpected slap from a police officer.
In retaliation, the Air Force officer reportedly stepped down from the tricycle and physically confronted the police officer. The altercation quickly escalated, with people gathered at the environment to ease the situation.
As the situation grew more, the Air Force officer was arrested and taken to the Kwara State Police Command headquarters.
However, the incident further went beyond expectation as the colleagues of the Airforce personel arrived the police station.
Upon arriving, the police, attempting to control the crowd, resorted to firing tear gas at the approaching Air Force personnel.
Eyewitnesses reported that the police officers were stationed near the roundabout along Sulu Gambari Road, while the Air Force officers were gathered on Yoruba Road.
The situation calmed once the Air Force personnel withdrew after being met with the tear gas. But tensions lingered, as reports indicated that Air Force officers sought reinforcements following the confrontation.
