”Peter put Jude in prison, and I’m here to take him out” – Rudeboy says

Nigerian musician Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, secured the release of his elder brother, Jude Okoye, from custody by using his Ikoyi property while standing as a surety.

Recall that Jude Okoye, the elder brother and former manager of Peter and Paul Okoye (P-Square) was on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, remanded in the Ikoyi Correctional Facility following his arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over allegations of money l@undering amounting to N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
He pleaded not guilty to all the charges, and the court adjourned for Friday, February 28th, 2025, for his bail hearing.
At the bail hearing today, Rudeboy announced his willingness to stake one of his properties in Ikoyi, Lagos, as he stood surety for Jude to be released on bail.
Speaking outside the court premises, Rudeboy added that his twin brother had put their elder brother Jude in a mess, and he was there to get him out of it.
He said, “It’s Peter that is doing this. He put Jude in Prison and I’m here to bring him out“
Jude Okoye is being tried alongside his company, Northside Music Ltd, before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Lagos on a seven-count charge.
The EFCC began investigating Jude after Peter Okoye petitioned the anti-graft agency over a “secret company“ he discovered that had Jude Okoye and his wife Ifeoma Okoye as founder and director as he investigated the whereabouts of some of P-Square’s royalties.
