Paris-bound businessman arrested at Abuja airport for ingesting 74 wraps of illicit dr+gs
A 48-year-old businessman was detained by National Dr*g Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) agents for consuming 74 wraps of h£roin and coc@ine while trying to board Air France aircraft 844 from Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja to Paris, France.

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, Orizu was taken into custody at the Abuja Airport boarding gate when Air France passengers were being cleared off.
He declined the request to be pulled aside for a body scan, stating that his health prevented it.
Orizu was then placed under arrest for excretion surveillance, where he expelled 74 wraps of Class A dr*gs over the course of seven days, according to a statement released on Sunday by Femi Babafemi, the anti-drug agency’s spokesperson.
According to his statement, Orizu stated that he sells school and travel bags at his store in Lagos Island’s Balogun Market and that he was guaranteed 3,000 euros if the shipment arrived in Paris.
According to reports, the suspect admitted that he fled his base in Lagos for the Abuja airport in order to catch his Air France flight to Paris in the hopes of avoiding detection.
According to Babafemi, in another interdiction attempt, NDLEA Marine Command agents stopped two boats carrying 1,960 kg of Ghanaian Loud, a potent cannabis strain, at 2:30 am on Christmas eve at Eleko Beach in the Lekki neighborhood of Lagos.
He claimed that during the raid, six foreign people who had carried the shipments from Ghana were taken into custody.
