“Only Two Genders in America” – Trump Declares W@r on Transgender Rights in U.S
Donald Trump, the president-elect of the United States, pledged on Sunday to address “transgender lunacy” on his first day in office.
Trump continued to push policies perceived as anti-LGBTQ as he laid out his goals at the AmericaFest conference for young conservatives in Phoenix, Arizona, as Republicans get ready to take control of both Congress and the White House.
He promised to sign executive orders prohibiting transgender people from joining the military, halting gender-affirming operations for minors, and removing transgender-related content from elementary, middle, and high schools.
“There will only be male and female in America. I will sign executive orders to end child s£xual mutilation and get transgender out of the military and out of our elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools,” he said.
The president-elect also vowed to “keep men out of women’s sports,” adding that “it will be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”
Transgender rights are now a divisive topic in American politics.
While measures restricting access to medical treatments and limiting the availability of relevant publications in public and school libraries have been introduced by Republican-led states.
In the meanwhile, states with Democratic majorities have implemented laws that promote transgender individuals.
