Olamide Gbenga Adedeji popularly known as Olamide or Olamide Baddo was born on March 15, 1989 in Bariga Lagos State Nigeria. He is the second child of Pa Adedeji and his second wife Ronke Osisanya Adedeji and has two siblings Temmy Gold and Eniola Olamilekan.

Growing up in the noisy neighborhood of Bariga Olamide was exposed to the rich Yoruba culture which later influenced his music. He schooled in Lagos attending both primary and secondary schools within the state. Showed interest in the arts he went on to study Mass Communication at Tai Solarin University of Education in Ogun State. During his time at the university he sharpened his communication and performance skills which formed the foundation of his future music career.

Olamide started music in 2010 when he dropped his debut single Eni Duro which gained attention and showed his unique Yoruba and English rap style. In 2011 he released his first studio album Rapsodi under Coded Tunes record label.

Despite his public figure Olamide keeps his personal life private. He is married to Adebukunmi Aisha Suleiman and they have two sons Batifeori Maximilliano Adedeji and Tunrepin Myles. He often gives credit to his family as his source of inspiration and support throughout his career.
