Nigerian human rights activist Otse Martins, popularly known as Verydarkman, has ignited reactions on social media after publicly denouncing that no money was stolen from his NGO account but decided to prank Nigerians to see how they reason critical issues.

Recently, the human rights activist Verydarkman made a controversial statement that has set the Internet ablaze with different people across Nigeria expressing their opinions amidst the 180 million being diverted from NGO accounts by an unknown hacker.
However, the activist has again ignited reactions after revealing that no money was stolen from the account as earlier stated but was just a prank.
He said, “I now see how stupid many of you are in this country. I told you that 180 million was stolen from my account, and none of you can question why that happened but saying all sorts of things.”
“No money was stolen, how can that happen when Verydarkman is involved?” “Some of you were insulting me and my mother without verifying. This is how stupid you people are in this country.”
He further stated the importance of asking critical questions when things like this happen. Using the opportunity, the human rights activist also advised fans to celebrities like Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy to verify everything before they attack whoever they’re not a fan of.
