“Nigeria’s economy improving, better days ahead “- President Tinubu  

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s recent statement that Nigeria’s economy is improving has sparked debate and criticism, as many Nigerians continue to face severe economic challenges.

While the President remains optimistic about the nation’s economic future, citizens, analysts, and opposition leaders have questioned the reality of his claims in the face of rising inflation, high unemployment, insecurity and high rate of poverty in the country. 

In his remarks during a national broadcast, President Tinubu confidently claimed that Nigeria’s economic situation is on the mend, citing recent government policies, efforts to attract foreign investment, and the removal of fuel subsidies as key factors contributing to long-term stability and growth.

He noted that the country’s GDP growth had shown positive signs and that “better days are ahead for Nigerians.”

“I am confident that with the policies we have put in place, we are on the path to economic recovery. The challenges are temporary, and better days lie ahead,” Tinubu said.

However, many Nigerians have expressed skepticism, especially given the ongoing economic hardship they face. For months, the country has been grappling with skyrocketing inflation, particularly in food and energy prices, as well as a deepening cost of living crisis. 

The removal of fuel subsidies, although a key part of the government’s economic strategy, has led to soaring fuel prices, which have placed additional pressure on household budgets.
