Nigerians react to a picture of Dele Farotimi in handcuffs and a picture of Yahaya Bello walking free

Nigeria has never beat the allegations of being considered one of the most corr#pt countries with a failed justice system.

The recent arrest of human rights lawyer, Dele Farotimi has highlighted a number of concerns surrounding the concept of power and influence in the country.

Farotimi’s book, “Nigeria and its Criminal Justice System” accuses renowned attorney Afe Babalola of influencing the Supreme Court into erroneous rulings, and he was arrested and placed under remand on criminal def@m@tion charges after releasing it.

In a recent picture, the lawyer could be seen bound in cuffs while being escorted by the Nigerian police .

Taking to X to voice their opinions on the disturbing picture, concerned Nigerians compared it to a picture of Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State who allegedly siphoned a huge sum of N110 billion walking freely.

Below are some of the reactions on X

@Austin not Jay Jay – “A 100% proof of his book title. Only the title of his book is understood and digestive, no need to ready the interior page. the book 📕 cover is ok”

@Senator Obi – “Tale of the rich and the truth.”

@Arakunrin – “A cr!m!nal who has st@len a state’s property walks free while someone accused of def@m@tion is handcuffed, a picture that reflects the nation’s judiciary system’s failure, as DF has long stated.

These precedents are blatant examples of how the Nigerian state oppresses the poor and persecutes the wealthy.”

@Eniolanimi – “We should be ashamed of our judicial system in this country”
