Nigerian Pastor Bolaji Idowu Arrested for Alleged N1.5 Billion Fr@ud

Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of the Harvesters International Christian Center (HICC), will spend the night in detention at the Force Cr@minal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja, following his arrest over allegations of a N1.5 billion fr@ud.

The investigation is centered around claims of real estate fr@ud and money laundering, with police suggesting that Idowu may have been involved in a scheme orchestrated by one of his pastors.

Pastor Idowu was detained after police launched an inquiry into a fr@udulent real estate investment scheme that reportedly duped several individuals.

According to sources within the FCID, the investigation uncovered a trail of billions of naira funneled through various accounts linked to the pastor. Notably, funds from the scheme were traced to both the church’s account and Idowu’s personal account.

The fr@ud investigation stemmed from a complaint involving one of Pastor Idowu’s subordinates, who allegedly used the church’s influence to lure people into the real estate venture. The funds raised in the scheme were said to have been diverted and misappropriated, leading to the criminal probe.

The FCID confirmed that Idowu, who is popularly known for his “Next-Level Prayer Conference,” is facing serious questioning regarding his role in the fr@udulent activities.

The pastor’s arrest has stunned many, as he has built a reputation as a spiritual leader with a wide-reaching congregation both online and in person.

The Harvesters International Christian Center, which Idowu founded in December 2003, now boasts over 70,000 members across Nigeria, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
