NAFDAC AND NDLEA Sign MoU to Strengthen Dr*g Regulation Efforts.

NAFDAC and NDLEA have formalised collaboration with a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance operational synergy.
The Director-General of NAFDAC, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye highlighted that after six years of effort, the agreement will bolster regulatory and control measures to combat dr*g misuse and safeguard public health.
Prof. Adeyeye underscored the MoU’s importance as a step towards national security, emphasizing the harmful impact of illicit dr*gs on the central nervous system, often leading to viol£nce and other social issues.

She commended the NDLEA Chairman, Gen. Buba Maruwa, for his commitment, noting that this collaboration ensures better protection for the public by merging expertise and intelligence-sharing between both Agencies.
Gen. Maruwa praised the long-standing partnership between NAFDAC and NDLEA, stressing that their combined efforts are crucial for public safety.
He called for a framework to enhance joint operations and intelligence sharing, underscoring the shared dedication to combating dr*g abu5e and ensuring safe, approved consumables for citizens.
