[General Buba] NAF K*lls 70 terrorists in Borno State

The Nigeria Air Force jets just k*lled about 70 terrorists that were located in Arianna Ciki Islands and Kwallaram in Borno State.

Major General Edward Buba who is the director of the Defence Media Operations has affirmed that the terrorists were k*lled by the air striked that were carried out on November 6.

During a press statement that was pushed out today, Saturday concerning the nationwide activity of the armed forces. General Buba noted that military operations that were carried out across the country in the past week has resulted in the neutralization of 169 terrorists and 641 criminals has been arrested so far.

General Buba further stated – It was later disclosed that the troops managed to recover “192 high caliber weapons, comprising 106 AK47 rifles, 38 fabricated rifles, 26 dane guns, one FN rifle, three fabricated revolver pistol, 11 locally made pistols, five pump action guns, one dummy AK47 rifle, and one unexploded RPG bomb.”

“2,970 ammunition, comprising 1,410 rounds of 7.62mm special ammo, 1,074 rounds of 7.62mm NATO, 67 rounds of 7.62 x 54mm, 130 rounds of 108mm, 101 rounds of 9mm ammo, and 146 live cartridges“.

Still on the success of the operations of the armed forces in the region of Niger Delta, the General noted that 83 illegal refining sites were found and demolished along with 40 oil thieves, 914, 445 liters of crude oil, 1,285 liters of petrol, and 537,325 liters of diesel.

General Buba added “Other items recovered and destroyed are 20 crude oil cooking ovens, two dugout pits, 42 boats, seven reservoirs, five drums, 50 storage tanks, three pumping machines, one speedboat, and 8 motorcycles, among others”.

General Buba later assured the citizens of Nigeria Armed Forces commitment in tackling insecurity in the country.
