In a viral tweet, Nnamdi Chudee a popular travelogue expositor and historian who’s known as Chude has dropped a controversial tweet on his X handle.

The tweet stirred the waters of the camps of the legendary raggae artistes, Bob Marley and Lucky Dube.
The duo are popular with the same genre of music but with their different and unique storylines and approaches.
Quoting Chude verbatim, he stated,
“Some People here once said Lucky Dube’s songs are better than Bob Marley’s.
May the God of Reggae forgive you all.”
Some weeks ago, netizens and fans of the duo went into a serious loggerhead over who the greatest of all time is among the two but unfortunately, since there’s no umpire, the argument ended in a “no victor, no vanquish.”
Chude has taken a step forward to make a decision on who is supposed to win the argument, but with no clear reasons, he concluded Bob Marley is to be GOATed while God of Raggae should forgive those who think otherwise.
Here are reaction from netizens over the controversial post.
“It is preference Chude. I hate the two sef”
“They were both good, but give me Lucky Dube anytime 😁”
“Lucky Dube arrangements na d|e”
“Asin bob Marley just boring one kind”
“Only weed can make someone say that , but generally not all Bob marley songs are sweeter than Lucky Dube songs, there are some Lucky Dube songs that made sense more than Bob Marley songs.”
“Bob’s song are prophetic and philosophical. The songs are not meant to be enjoyed but to be reflected on and digested”
“It is the weed you took that made you write that first line”
“Lucky Dube’s songs hits harder than Bob’s
Clean your ears and mind, then listen 🎧 again.”
“Lucky himself wouldn’t say that 😁”
“Lucky Dube is like an apprentice to Bob Marley but seriously I enjoyed his song more than Bob. NJ”
“Personally, I love more Lucky Dube songs than Bob Marley. Popularity bias won’t let some of you acknowledge the truth.”
“It’s a matter of choice, I love them both but I prefer Lucky Dube to Bob Marley.”
This argument wouldn’t stop any soon. Independent panel should develop uninfluenced parameters to measure the duo and allow the masses to vote in an online pool which is to be timed.
In the meantime, according to the tweet, the pendulum is swinging more to Lucky Dube yet not a solid ground to conclude who’s who of Raggae.
