Made Kuti, whose real name is Omorinmade Kuti, was born in Lagos State, Nigeria, on September 26, 1995.

He comes from the famous Kuti musical dynasty and is a well-known Afrobeat singer, songwriter, and musician. Made carries on his family’s rich tradition as the son of well-known Afrobeat musician Femi Kuti and the grandson of the renowned Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti.

Alongside his father Femi Kuti’s record Stop the Hate, his debut album, For(e)ward, was released in 2021 as part of a double CD called Legacy+.

Produced by Fela Kuti’s former collaborator, Sodi Marciszewer, this album demonstrated Made’s flexibility and distinctive fusion of Afrobeat, jazz, highlife, rock, and reggae.

In addition to his solo career, Made formed his band, The Movement, which he introduced during an event at the Terra Kulture Arena in Lagos.

His music continues to address social and political issues, following the tradition of his family’s use of music as a tool for change.
