Linc Edochie’s Birthday Post to Brother Yul Sparks Controversy Amidst Ongoing Feud
Nigerian actor Linc Edochie has got himself into trouble with fans after posting a birthday message to his younger brother, Yul Edochie on his 43rd birthday. The post was meant to be a goodwill message but many have interpreted it as a subtle shade given the brothers’ beef.

The beef between Linc and Yul started after Yul married actress Judy Austin and May Edochie his first wife. Linc openly supported May during that period and the brothers fell out. Things got worse when Yul accused Linc of being a traitor after Linc talked about Yul’s marital issues in an interview with Kanayo O. Kanayo.
On January 7, 2025, Linc posted a photo of Yul on his social media and captioned:
“It’s a great day today as my younger brother, Ezedike adds a year today. Happy birthday bro. Wishing you long life, peace, good health and prosperity.”
Despite the good message, many online users believe Linc was throwing shades. They pointed out that the photo selection on the post might have been intentional to highlight the ongoing beef between the brothers.
The Edochie family’s internal issues have been in the public eye especially after Yul married his second wife. Linc had earlier advised Yul to keep his marital issues off social media, saying family matters should be kept in house.
Yul replied by saying Linc should not discuss family issues publicly, and that airing grievances publicly is bad. This has further fuelled public interest and debate on the family’s private issues.
