Lakurawa T£rr0rist Group launch a fresh att@ck in Zamfara State
A fresh att@ck has again been launched in Zamfara State by a new t£rr0rist group called Lakurawa.
In November, Celebritynote reported the emergence of this new t£rr0rist group when they att@cked a local community in Borno State.
The Lakurawas have taken their d£@dly att@ck to Zamfara State where many were k!Iled and several others seriously injüred.
The t£rr0rist group reportedly took £xpl0sives and b0mbed a community on the Gusau-Dansadau road in the Maru Local Government Area.
It is reported that the £xpl0sive, planted by Lakurawa b@ndits, went off in a busy area, affecting both commuters and nearby residents.
The incident was reported on Wednesday by Zagazola Makama, a countert£rr0rism and !nsurg£ncy expert in the Lake Chad Basin.
Makama pointed out that this £xpl0sion was the second att@ck of its kind along the route, indicating a concerning change in the methods employed by b@ndits in the region.
He said that the use of £xpl0sives by these cr!m!nals marks a dangerous escalation in the area’s security situation.
“Traditionally known for their activities such as k!dn@pping, cattle rustling, and a*med att@cks, the use of £xpl0sives introduces a new level of !ns£curity in the region”, he wrote.
The military afterwards confirmed and acknowledged saying that the safety and security of citizens are of great importance.
Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the Coordinator of the Joint Media Coordination Centre for Northwest Operation Fansar Yamma, issued a statement confirming that military personnel are working alongside local law enforcement to evaluate the situation and ensure the arrest of those responsible for the att@ck.
The statement called on the public to stay alert and report any suspicious behavior, emphasizing that military personnel are present in the area, working to prevent additional incidents and safeguard the safety of all travelers.
