Kidnap Victims Successfully Escape Their Captors in Benue
Four abducted victims in Benue State’s Ukum Local Government Area have managed to escape from their captors.

The victims were met in Zaki Biam on Thursday, February 13, 2025, by Hon. Jonathan Modi Ta, Executive Chairman of Ukum LGA.
The victims, who were all from Ukum extraction, disclosed that they were abducted on December 27, 2024, and that they had suffered from extreme adversity, including going days without food.
Shortly after holding a strategic security discussion with security leaders, Hon. Modi spoke to them and conveyed his profound concern for their welfare.
He emphasised that their delicate health situations needed expert care and he ordered their transfer to a hospital for immediate medical assistance.
Hon. Modi called on to the people who engage in such behaviour to stop, reminding them that those who persist in using violence will be held accountable by both the law and divine justice.
