On the reel again this morning the fearless and vocal human rights activist, Verydarkman, had been invited by the police to come and answer to petitions leveled against him at Yaba, Panti Police Station.

On the media recently, issues about defamation of character seems to be getting momentum in the Nigerian everyday space. This is likely attached to the ongoing civil láwsu!t between Aare Afe Babalola and the writer of the bestselling popular “Nigeria and it’s Criminal Justice System”, Dele Farotimi.
Recall that the ongoing læwsu!t is anchored on the alleged indictment of Afe Babalola in the book for denying justice to the legal activist Dele Farotimi.
In another instance, Verydarkman has posted on his handle about the recent invitation he received from the police to answer to “Conspiracy and Defamation of Character”. On the post he said,
“A petition was written against me for alleged conspiracy of blah blah blah, as usual I suspect Paulo and lyabo like I said until they beg me Aluta will continue, I no kuku send anybody papa”
It’s instructional to observe that VDM continued to mention his respect and regard for the Nigerian police and encourage the Nigerian people to see the police as friend.
As would be expected, he categorically stated “I’m not afraid of the police. The police is rather my friend”
He dares the petitioners to reveal themselves even though he suspects Paulo and Iyabo.
He expressed his stern determination in seeing that he f!ghts the case of him and Iyabo and Paulo to a victorious end. He sounded certain and assured.
As this case opens, every eye is fixed on the possible outcome and where the case would lead.
