“Jagaban will fix it all” – Yul Edochie

Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has ignited reactions on social media following his optimistic remarks about Nigeria’s economic future under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Edochie assured Nigerians facing economic hardships that Tinubu, popularly known as “Jagaban,” would resolve the country’s challenges.

“Jagaban will fix it all. Soon everything will normalize. All will be well,” Edochie wrote, expressing confidence in the president’s ability to address issues like inflation, unemployment, and the rising cost of living.

The statement, however, received mixed reactions from Nigerians, with many questioning the actor’s optimism amidst worsening economic conditions. Critics pointed to recent policies such as the removal of fuel subsidies and fluctuating exchange rates, which have deepened financial difficulties for citizens.

Tinubu, who assumed office in May 2023, has faced mounting pressure to deliver on his campaign promises. His administration has introduced various initiatives aimed at stabilizing the economy, including plans to boost local manufacturing and create job opportunities.

However, critics argue that the impact of these policies remains largely theoretical, with ordinary citizens yet to feel the benefits.
