Ivie Okujaye Attacks Government Officials for Saying her Dressing is Inappropriate
Nollywood actress Ivie Okujaye recently shared a story of when she was told off by government officials over her dressing when she visited their office. As soon as she got in, female staff members confronted her, asking “Why are you dressed like that? Don’t you know you are coming to a government office?”

Ivie described her outfit as a floral dress that goes down to her ankles and white sneakers. She thought she was decent and proper. But the officials asked her if she would wear the same to see the President. She said yes, and that she prefers casual dressing even in formal places.
Despite her explanation, they were still not satisfied. Then after the scolding, they asked her for a tip. Ivie found this ridiculous, why would they dress her down and then ask for a bribe.
She shared this on her Instagram page and asked her followers to tell her if she was wrong. The post got mixed reactions. Some agreed with her, saying her dressing was decent, while others said government offices expect more formal or traditional clothes.
